Born the son of a musician, Strata learned to play his first musical instrument, a trumpet like his father, at the age of 8.  Shortly thereafter he moved on to learn guitar, bass, and piano and spent the first part of his musical career as a guitar and bass player in various Punk, Grunge and Rockabilly bands. After randomly stumbling upon an EDM bulletin board he stepped into the electronic music scene in the summer of ’97 and instantly developed a love for broken beats.  Jungle, DnB, and Breaks became instant passions for the 15 year old rocker, who dove head first into the Junglist culture. He left Texas in 2003 to pursue other goals, including a Bachelor’s in Music & Production, but in 2010 he returned and immediately stepped back into the Houston party scene.

Strata has since become a core member of Kaos Entertainment, LLC and in
2011 stepped out from behind the stage and onto the tables. His music is heavily influenced by the likes of Andy C, Ram Trilogy, Micky Finn, Congo Natty, Danny Byrd, Adam Freeland, Stanton Warriors, Plump DJ’s, Roni Size and NAPT.  Strata is also a member of the all DnB crew Everyday Junglists and uses his unique musical background, and deep love for heavy bass and broken beats to support the resurgence of the Junglist culture in Texas.
